I must say I am humored with your introduction to this recipe. When I was in college we did a group trip to Argentina and Chile. I became an empanada fiend, I ate them every chance. And, like you, I distinctly remember finding that Argentinian empanadas were far superior to Chilean! I’m amazed you made the same discovery!
