Peabody - I hear ya. I don't want sons or daughters either ;)

Kevin - thanks bud! Same to you!

Mandy - awww, thanks. Happy new year.

Amanda - moms make the best dumplings, don't they?

Ashley - thank you!

Fruittart - I think dumplings used to be my favorite food... when someone else made them! :) I still love them, but it's that labor of love thing.

Graeme - ha ha ha, shins of steel?! My dear man, I telemark ski. We finesse our way down the mountain, none of that brute force alpine crap ;) hee hee! Quads of steel, yes (or so I hope someday...).

Mary - thanks!

Chuck - oh! That makes me sad :( Everyone deserves dumplings. I hope you get your fix soon. Happy new year to you too!

Bridget - totally, life is dull without a good challenge (there are crappy challenges and those suck). I'd have to take the dumplings over the nap though - I hate to sleep! :)

Christine - My dear friend, if you and Pierre should ever find yourselves in Colorado, please let us know. We would love to have you as our guests (can you imagine how fun it would be to cook together!?!). We could make a huge ass batch of dumplings. Headlines would read: Asian chicks take over small mountain town with dumplings! And then we could eat the Asian desserts while Jeremy and Pierre nosh on some random chocolate souffle ;)

Chris - thanks and happy new year to you too. I lived for far too long without snow. I'm making up for all of those years :)

Jen - What I'd give to live so close to some ski slopes. We are far away from any good skiing. Your dumplings are making me ravenous. I need to stop reading your blog before meal times.

My husband is also not a fan of asian desserts - too beany, too squishy, squiggly....Big *whatever*, man.

Good luck with your Lunar New Year preparations. I'm trying not to get too anxious though I know how fun it will be this year now that I can try to make your dumplings.

I keep trying to convince myself that life isn't worth living without some challenge. But really I'm at the point where I need a nice month-long nap. And some Chinese dumplings...
