Sunflower Oil has a superior "clean" flavor and is an excellent oil for all your oil needs. I also add 1 tsp Cinnamon, 1/2 tsp Nutmeg, and 1 tsp Lemon Peel and I only use 1 1/2 cups sugar. My recipe also calls for only 3/4 tsp Baking Soda but adds in 1 tsp Baking Powder. For added crunch/sweetness I sprinkle Brown Sugar on top of the batter before baking.
