My grocery store was out of the vegetable soup mix so I bought vegetable dip mix. I am assuming that this substitution will work fine.

Seems I am a little late on this discussion, the spinach dip sammies look inviting and am compelled to try those, but one of my favorite ways to enjoy spinach dip is to add a heaping pile on a freshly split piping hot Baked Potato! Awesome and delicious!!!

The Spinach Dip was terrific. The changes, 3-17-2010 5:11 pm, made it great, just as the original recipe I remembered. It was interesting that our daughters, 11, 14, and 16 who usually only take a bite of anything spinach, tried it with some dipping cucumbers and round bread and there wasn’t a crumb left when all was finished.
