Holy cow! Is that a hotel room or someone’s guest room?! Whichever, I want it!

  4. Margie says:

It is a shame that you do not know how to use a camera!
    ;)

    Seriously, you have me spellbound.

I’m very, very happy for you. :)

  5. Adrienne says:

SERIOUSLY. Petit Ecoliers are the perfect solution to the s’more’s ratio problem. I love it. Love it!

  6. Lindsay says:

    Yountville?

Wow. I agree with previous commenter – Spellbound!

I really want to do anything I can to eventually have your life. It seems so perfect. You were a scientist and now you live a life of total leisure. I want that life! Spas, cooking all the time, photography, a great husband and dog?! And you’re still so young. How the hell did you do it?!

  12. Laura @ Hungry and Frozen says:

  15. Nichole says:

Yay! I totally forgot about your trip and I had been wondering why it been so quiet on the Jen front this week. Thanks for the wonderful teaser and I hope your week continues to be fantastic. I can’t wait to hear more about all the food, people and places. I bet the coming photos are going to be just amazing. Sending you a big squeeze from Luke and me!

  16. Eat. Travel. Eat! says:

Amazing smores for sure! Never thought about using Petit Ecoliers with marshmallows :). But where was the fire? The fireplace?

  17. Jessica Nunemaker says:

I have had a serious S’Mores craving for the last TWO weeks.

Your photos don’t help! Not one bit! ;)

  18. Loan says:

Hey Jen, I had a question regarding cakes I dislike overly sweet cakes and it just seems like every cake recipe I find seems to be so sweet. I was wondering if it is ok to cut down on the amount of sugar in a recipe without altering how the cake will turn out? I know its such a silly question to be asking but I thought I’d ask an expert before trying it and ending up with a bad cake . Thanks

  19. jenyu says:

Nate – no, I didn’t attend the festival. I think this trip was MUCH better tho! :)

Kristin – it was my hotel room! Can you believe it!?

    Lindsay – Healdsburg

Allie – do you really? My life is a complete package, you can’t pick out just the good stuff. I work hard, I play hard. I had/have cancer. I lost my only sister 5 years ago. My PhD was a miserable experience. It may seem like total leisure, but it isn’t. It’s a lot of work. You don’t see everything going on in my life on urb… no one does.

Jennifer – likewise, sweetie. Great getting to know you!!

Nichole – oh!!! xxoo *warm fuzzies*

ETE – the fire is in the upper left corner. About 8-10 pit fires going in total.

Loan – I’m sorry, but I couldn’t really tell ya. I don’t have enough experience with baking to tell you if it makes a difference. Sorry!

  20. Steph says:

You never fail to impress me with your amazing photography.

  21. Kristin says:

First hotel room that’s made me consider redecorating. Of course the windows could be a challenge!
