thank you every day
I hope all of the folks who celebrate Thanksgiving are having a lovely holiday weekend however it is that you choose to do it. We spent our holiday cleaning out the basement, playing with the pup, taking care of house things, and prepping some simple fare.
no snow, but these two are all i really need
colorful sunsets
kaweah’s thanksgiving plate: carrots, apples, peanut butter, brussels sprouts, dog treats

We’ll be back to our regularly scheduled program soon enough, but I just wanted to thank all of you for dropping by and being such a great readership. Not just today, but every day. Thanks for that. Enjoy your weekend. xo

I _love_ that picture of Kaweah eating her T-day dinner. Her eyes looks like she can’t believe her luck in having so many bites of yum on a plate! Happy Fall!

I like your Thanksgiving style. For the past 6 years we’ve been having clams and lobsters on Thanksgiving.

Kaweah’s plate looked so great! Now I feel like preparing a little special plate for Linda the bunny (not Thanksgiving here for us, alas).

I think “these two” would be plenty for anyone! You are one lucky woman…8-) I, too, adore the picture of Kaweah and her treat. She’s such a doll.
Our Thanksgiving feast was on Wednesday. My daughter and her boyfriend came down and we had bee stew with dumplings, her handmade/homemade pumpkin pie and a store bought cherry pie. It was wonderful to have them here, as always.

I’m ALWAYS grateful for the food, photos, insights and memories that you share. I feel truly blessed for my family: 2 beautiful teen boys, my beloved husband and best friend of nearly 22 years and my fluffy blond “daughter” Daisy Doodle Dog and my home in beautiful Colorado.

I didn’t think it was possible to love another dog like I love my own, but yours gives mine a run for her money. Thank you!

And I thought my dog was spoiled.

I think that whenever my hubby and I are “grown up” enough to be making our own Thanksgiving I’ll follow your lead – looks like a delicious tradition. Also, I love the quintessential lab look Kaweah has when she’s eating her plate, keeping her eyes on the prize! Happy Thanksgiving!

I think if I get to come back in another life, I would like it to be your dog. And thank you for the sunset pictures. They have been so glorious in the last few weeks.

I know it’s a few days after thanksgiving but whatever. I’m so thankful for your blog, I never comment except on give-aways and even though I’ve never won one, i still feel you giving me so much. I’ve gone through your archives and read every entry and have always been astonished at what a strong and powerful woman you are. Through every hardship life has thrown at you have always managed to best it and not only that you live a life you love, doing things you love, with people you love. Also you make me really wanna go to Colorado and Monday nights at the kitchen.
One strong woman to another :)

I’m so glad to see that pup eating beautiful food! they give us so much unconditionally — laughter, love, affection…they deserve so much more than something dumped out of a can and into their bowls.
