When you have rotten bananas:

Make chocolate chip banana bread (with mini chocolate chips!).

Jeremy is snoozing away. Rightly so, he got to bed at 5:45 this morning. I guess I’ll let him sleep this morning, dreaming his little astronomer dreams. There is plenty that needs doin’ to keep me busy…

I love to bake in the winter. Makes the whole house smell good. I like the rushing sound of the gas oven when I put a sheet of cookie dough in… choco-crisp cookie dough, that is.

The oven has had a workout today: banana bread, quiche, and 7 dozen cookies.

my appetite is back

Last night when we got home from work, I turned to Jeremy and said, “What do you want for dinner?” We had a few leftovers, but Friday night is usually our grocery shopping night. I would have none of it. I was HUNGRY and so, against our better judgement, we ordered takeaway from Fu Shing (Chinese readers, don’t give me guff!) My appetite is back. yay. or maybe boo. I feel sooo much better today. Actually, I felt better yesterday – well enough to meet with evil twin for lunch. We had a great discussion about jobs, partners, social security.

It’s official: Jeremy is taking the Hubble to Boulder!

A la Howard Dean:
“Yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg!”

To celebrate, we grilled sandwiches (my second favorite food next to sushi) on my NEW pan. It arrived today in the mail courtesy Williams-Sonoma and some bucks.

Williams-Sonoma uses way too much packaging in their shipping.
