Today, food hasn’t really appealed to me – except for Tobasco sauce. I am craving that stuff. I had grapes for dinner.

I used that baseball bat of a zucchini to make zucchini bread. We took a loaf over to our neighbors, Tom and Kellie. They gave us info on a new ISP which we’ll probably try.
And for Kell. We had turkey burgers for dinner tonight and I almost went to buy a package of bacon just so I could drop two (okay – THREE!) slices on my burger. But… I didna. I topped it with swiss and some heirloom tomato slices from my girlfriend’s garden. Yes, Jaime grew her first garden this year and managed to produce some beautiful heirloom tomatoes. Love that. Especially since her tomatoes are free, and the ones from Whole Foods are $7 a pound.

Days when I can devote all of my time to working on the Big Diss (BD) are stressful, but manageable. Days when I go to work in Boulder AND try to work on the BD are surreal. I can do both, but somewhere in the middle my brain hits potholes. Like calling people by the wrong name. I did that a lot today. Or forgetting what I was doing two seconds ago. I did a lot of that too.
Today was also gluttony day because I went out to lunch with work folks (to Laudisio – so good!) and then there was that fancy reception at 4, and then we went to dinner with our neighbors at the Sundance Cafe. I tried to keep it under control because of the heartburn issue, but had to get one of these at dinner:

Pet peeve for today: Talking with people who make absolutely no sense even though they are speaking the same language.
